Back in the Dominican Republic

Almost two weeks ago, I returned to Cabarete. Most days have been rainy, and there's an odd feeling to being back—a place once filled with meaning now feels misplaced. I'm not sure what this feeling means, but I'm letting it settle in.

One friend commented that, for them, their chapter in Cabarete has come to an end. Perhaps this is what this feeling is pointing towards.

Films

From the time I boarded the plane back here until now, I have watched a handful of great films, but three stood out as particularly enjoyable:

  1. Civil War: It follows a group of war journalists during a fictional (and palpable) civil war. It was raw and, at times, difficult to watch.
  2. The Fall: So f*cking beautiful.

P.S.: If you have a Letterboxd account, let's connect!.

Internal Processes

A lot has been unfolding within me lately. I won't go into much detail, but one day I step one way, and the next, a different way.

Surprisingly, interacting and letting these processes flow feels like an act of giving awareness to them instead of naming them.

They reveal themselves and their clothes without my having to describe them.
